Agent dedicated lines updated

Agents should have been aware of the agent dedicated lines for contacting HMRC for a while now. If you haven’t been using them you should: there’s less pre-recorded guff, hold times are nigh on non-existent, and you get dealt with by more experienced call centre staff.

On 28 May a single number (0845 366 7855) was introduced for all SA and PAYE enquiries. The old numbers are still working, but at least we now don’t have to keep looking them up: the crib sheet stuck to my desk is now gone!

Please be aware that you can’t use this number for enquiring about your own affairs: I’m afraid you’ll have to continue to slum it in the on-hold queue.
